First Edition Christmas Sentiment Dies

How to Make

1.  Begin by printing off your free sunburst template. Next, choose 6 alternating paper designs from your Magic and Sparkle 12x12 paper pad.

2.  Next, cut out a 12cm x 17cm piece of Dovecraft white card. One at a time, cut out the triangular segments from your template and draw around them on the back of your chosen 12x12 Magic and Sparkle sheets. Begin to adhere each piece with Dovecraft Perma Fix tape to your white card.

 3.  When adhering your each segment, make sure you’re happy with its’ placement before you stick it down. Don’t worry about gaps as these will be filled later on.

 4.  Cut off any excess paper using a paper trimmer to achieve a clean edge.

5.  Next, cut 0.5cm lengths of Dovecraft silver glitter card. Adhere the strips with glue, between each paper design.

6.  Once again, trim the excess card from your design to achieve an accurate and professional finish.

7.  Glue a  piece of Dovecraft mirror card to fit the front of your 5x7 card blank. Adhere your sunburst design to the centre of your card with 3D foam pads.

8.  Die cut the ‘From Me To You’ phrase from the First Edition Christmas Sentiments die set on to a piece of Dovecraft Mirror card. Layer it on to a piece of complementing Magic and Sparkle paper. Stick it down to the bottom left hand side of your card with 3D foam squares.

This card has a wonderful, professional look that your loved ones will be proud to display. You could use an alternative papercraft collection to achieve a different look, it couldn’t be easier!

We would love to see your versions so remember to upload them to the project gallery and to #Trimcraft when uploading to social media!
