Project Instructions
1. Start with the A6 card blank, score a vertical line along the middle of the front of the card and fold the front in half to create the base of the easel card. Continue in landscape format.
2. Cut from the orange cardstock a piece measuring 14.4cm x 10cm and a piece measuring 14.4cm x 4.8cm.
3. Attach the larger piece to the base of the easel card (this would have been originally the inside of the back panel of the A6 card blank).
4. Attach the smaller piece to the outer folded over panel (this would have been originally the right-hand side of the front of the A6 card blank).
5. Cut 2 pieces from the blue cardstock: 14.2cm x 9.8cm and 14.2cm x 4.6cm.
6. On the back of the blue pieces draw lines 1cm from the right and left-hand edges using a white pencil for better visibility.
7. For the shorter panel mark the following points measured from the bottom on both sides: 0.5cm, 1.5cm, 2.5cm. For the bigger panel mark points at 2.2cm, 3.2cm and 4.2cm.
8. Using an eyelet setter punch the largest size of holes available at the bottom markings of both blue panels. Use a medium size for the middle markings and the smallest size for the top markings.
9. Stick the blue panels onto the orange panels.
10. Cut a piece of orange card measuring 14.2cm x 1.6cm. Stick a piece of the adhesive ribbon onto it, fold the edges over and secure them on the back of the strip for a neat finish.
11. Attach the strip with the adhesive ribbon along the bottom of the base of the easel card.
12. Trim a piece of orange card to 6.8cm x 2cm and stick onto the small piece of white card.
13. Stamp the word ‘Superdad’ onto the sentiment panel using the Roman alphabet stamps and a black ink pad. Vary the height of the letters and twist them all slightly.
14. Stick the sentiment panel onto the base of the easel card (centred) using 3D foam, so that it holds the folded over section.
15. To create the triangular panel trim a piece of orange card to14.4cm x 9.9cm and a piece of blue card to 13.7cm x 9.4cm. Continue to work with both panels in a landscape format.
16. On the back of the panels mark the centre point of the bottom edge. Draw lines from the centre point to the top left-hand and top right-hand corner. Cut along the pencil lines to create the triangles.
17. On the back of the blue panel only draw lines 1cm from the edges on all three sides. From the points where the lines are crossing mark points after 1cm and 2cm on all lines.
18. Using an eyelet setter punch a hole of the largest available size where the lines are crossing. Use the medium size for the 6 1cm markings and the smallest size for the 6 2cm markings.
19. Mount the blue triangle onto the orange triangle and stick them onto the small panel of the folded over section, so that the triangle is standing on a corner.
20. Finish off with the chipboard shape by sticking it into the centre of the triangular section.
