STICKING FELT TO FELT

Hi everyone, can you help please ? I am removing the button eyes from my sock toys and replacing them with felt.
I have a white felt circle with a smaller black felt circle inside for the pupil, and want to stick these two together, and then stick to the socktoy.
Does anyone know of any fabric glue that will definately stick felt to felt permanently please? I did buy some Beacon Fabric Glue which says it sticks felt to felt, but it doesnt, it peels off even after leaving it for 4 hrs !
I am really desperate to find something, as I have 150 toys with no eyes at the moment !!!

I haven't made toys in years, but I seem to remember that I used Copydex for sticking fabric to fabric. I don't know if that will be much help as I don't know if it is still available
Why are you doing that? Is it elf and safety again I used to use the safety eyes with a disc on the back to hold them in, but I suppose that would mean dismantling the toys

Like Di has already said Years ago I used to use "copydex" It used to smell awful when wet Like Wet Nappies lol.. But it was good glue for felts!! I know I used to buy it from Woolworths but as the store is no more I dont know where you would get it from now....Its a kind of rubber solution glue if that helps...

Not too sure How it would hold up to washing as well... sorry.....

Failing that could you not sew the felt on to your toys?.....I know it may take longer but you could uses a machine for the inner circles ...... or a Black promarker.. (test wash first though..)

I have used this before with no problems but not sure if any of my stuff used felt on felt? Maybe you could email and ask them

My Hubby bought a 5 Litre Tin of "Bond it" (glues and adhesives) Contact adhesive from Wicks DIY store (a bit like B&Q) Now That Sticks Anything!!!! and I tried it on felt just for you... It washed ok to!!! I tugged and tugged and tugged at it to try and pull off after washing!!! and it wouldnt come off!!!!

the pinflair bookbinding glue is supposed to be good but I have to be honest, if it was me I would just whizz them round on the machine

I would second that. As glue's will not be safe for children you have no idea what's in the glues.
