Firstly i am so so happy with my visit to social services this morning and secondly for every single person that has given me the courage and the strength to get through the last few weeks, i couldnt have done this with out any of you xxx
Todays visit has been good news, the residents have all been taken out of the home this afternoon most were found other homes to go to and a few were taken into emergency placements. The gentleman has been taken to the hospital to be checked over. The owners have been taken to the police station as i write this, they are also investigating another home that these cruel people own. But at least all the residents do not have to suffer another night at this awful place. Obviously the home and the owners and staff are still being investigated further and this will probably take time but my main concern was to get all the residents out. The young girl i took with me today was absolutely terrified, never before have i ever seen that look of terrer. It took alot...

Thanks you to all of you who joined in my Birthday Blog Contest.

I had a wonderful Birthday yesterday, quiet and peaceful.... just the way I like it. Unfortunately hubby had to work but I had the dog for company and all my buddies on here.... I couldn't have asked for much more..... I had so many wonderful cards too, more than I think I have ever rec'd.

I have really enjoyed reading all your answers to the questions on this little contest, it made it so much more interesting than just a list of names. And unlike the blogger blogs you cannot as such link to these unless its just for updates, so I hope you enjoyed answering the questions as much as I enjoyed reading them

I have split up the packets and have made up six goody bags of papers and embellies.

Good morning everyone!!!!! I am super duper happy this morning . James just had the phone call saying that he got the job.
He had the interview last week and was told that he would be told for definite by Friday whether he had the job or not - and the phone call came through this morning - the man from Spurgeons he say YES!!!!
I just need the summer holidays to be over and then I have the days to myself - yes I know thats mean.

I haven't bothered updating my blog purely because of the fact...

Wow we had a fabulous time in the US. The timing was perfect and we arrived Thursday with a full day to relax before the two day expo on the Saturday and Sunday.

There was so much to see and do with a variety of classes on offer...and there were so many eager crafters who were clearly expo experts and came dressed for battle and armed with credit cards and wheeled luggage to carry home their bounty...and believe me those ladies weren't afraid to use those cards either....

Everyone was really friendly and happy to share info on things like which stands had the best bargains..although the long queues were a bit of a give-away and they were eager to talk about how they used their purchases.

I did a couple of circuits before I bought a single thing. There was so much to choose from, and...
