Box/Bag Tutorial

Permanent Linkby craftytracy on Mon May 25, 2009 8:46 am

The following project was one of the first 3d projects I ever made when I started papercrafting 5 Years ago.

I saw it recently on a blog hop and it reminded me how easy it was. So this is what I was teaching On saturday whilst I was demonstrating in Plymouth.

I have added a Girly one, to show one finished completely and then a more masculine one to show the tutorial.

Hope you like it.

Step 1)
take a piece of 4 1/2 " x 4 1/2" piece of square card.
Image

Step 2)
Score 1" in around all four sides and then diagonally across the corners.

Image

Step 3) Fold in the sides and corners as shown and stick into place.

Step 4)
Place double sided tape around the outside edges of all four sides

Step 5)
Take a piece of 5 1/2 " x 11 " of decorative paper and stick to base of box as shown and stick the overlapping edge down.

Step 6)

Next take a piece of cardstock 1 1/2" x 11" and a border punch and punch out a nice pattern and attach to top of bag.

Step 7)
Then take two pieces of paper or cardstock and maek two tabs as shown, I took two pieces of paper 1 1/2 " x 3" and cut a piece out of both sides.

Step 8) attach to top of bag, I used 3 brads at the base of the tabs and used a larged eyelet at the top to thread the ribbon thorugh.

Have fun.
