Permanent Linkby sugar n spice on Tue May 26, 2009 1:14 am

With a lot of help from my Trimmie friends I have managed to get my Blog up and running. A special thanks to Roz and Fe Fe who were tremendous. Do please pop over, have a look and give me your opinions, tips and hints would be welcome too. My world has opened up since joining this site. I've been her 9 weeks and I have learned and done things I would never have dreamed of. So a big thank you to everyone for the encouragement. "Look out World - here I come" xx

My New Stamp Storage System

Permanent Linkby sugar n spice on Fri May 08, 2009 10:57 pm

I've only been stamping now about 3 or 4 weeks and I swear I don't know how I've managed to accumulate all the stamps I have now!!!! I was keeping them all in a plastic box, but when I needed one I had to empty the box. So today I went to the pound shop and bought 16 empty dvd boxes for £2.00. I took the little circle piece out of the middle and stamped the image of what was going to be inside it on a piece of paper and put it into the sleeve, on the spine I put the title so when I stand them up I can see at a glance what is inside them. It took a little while to do it, but my stamps are now organised and easy to find. I've added some photo's. Hope this is helpful.

New Craft Corner

Permanent Linkby sugar n spice on Sat Apr 11, 2009 4:27 pm

Hi Everyone, Been busy over the last 36 hours, with my husbands help we have created a new super efficient craft corner in the spare bedroom. We had a couple of old kitchen cupboards in the basement and decided to remove the doors and use them for shelving. John built me the corner desktop with mdf and painted it white. I needed somewhere to keep my ribbons so that they were accessible and magically he put a wood strip on the wall and used an old expandable curtain rod to let me slip the ribbons onto.

I kept him going with running up and down stairs with coffee and biscuits. He has been absolutely fantastic. All I had to do was re-arrange my craft stash to suit me. I have enclosed pictures to let you all see how hard he has worked. Bless him!

This morning I have been able to make a new atc and 3 cards. How lucky am I, everything I need is within reaching distance. I'll have to reward him with something nice. Any ideas ?

Stash Shopping !! or NOT!

Permanent Linkby sugar n spice on Tue Apr 07, 2009 10:01 pm

Hi Everyone,
Went into town today, first time in nearly two weeks. Had been saving up my pennies and decided to go to my favourite craft store. I went with a shopping list.

To Buy: Daisy & Dandelion clear stamps - Clare Curds new feminine clear stamps - Guess what, They didn't have them in stock. Argh..... :x I then tried to find a corner punch for my x-cut punch tray, guess what, they didn't have the corner punch in stock, Argh.... :x Okay I says, I'll just browse.

I picked up a couple of spools of ribbon in the clearance bin, and then I spotted a goody bag hanging on the wall and guess what was inside, Daisy and Dandelion stamps, but it was £15.00 don't get me wrong there was loads of other goodies in the bag and it was the last one hanging up. I took it to the counter and the girl says, oh the zip is broken ...

Mothers Day Blessings

Permanent Linkby sugar n spice on Sun Mar 22, 2009 11:33 pm

[color=#BF00FF]Oh what a wonderful day I have had, woke up to a nice cup of tea and a slice of toast (from Hubby) Had most of the morning to myself and my craft "room" My Daughter and my 3 lovely Grandsons visited in the afternoon bringing gifts, two huge cream cakes for every one to share, cards, gifts, oh it was lovely, got a beautiful cup, saucer and tea plate from my eldest Grandson Callum age 12 who has special needs, and from the twins Aaron and Ross age 5, a pot plant with daffodils, primroses and hyacinth and a box of chocolates. From my sweet lovely Daughter a fantastic HUGE presentation box of Dove craft goodies. But, do you know the nicest gifts were my cards. All hand made and the look of pride on their little faces when I told them they were all beautiful. I wish it could be mothers day every day, just to see the expression and love in their eyes. It's lovely that they think their Gran is a Princess !!
I am truly blessed.
