I'm dead chuffed. I was asked by Stitchy of http://stitchystamps.blogspot.com to make cards and bits with her digi images for her to show them off a little more. Of course, I jumped at the chance and my first bits are now on my blogger blog and they'll be in my gallery in a very short while.
Hope you guys like them too.
Love n hugs

The Day before....

Permanent Linkby sammay72 on Wed Oct 21, 2009 3:54 pm

Ho Hum :( . It's the day before my birthday and I'm going to be another year closer to 40 :o (that'll be 2012). I used to love my birthday when I was younger :D , well you always knew that you'd be getting pressies from your mum and dad and your nans and grandads, aunties and uncles.
I'm not grumbling as I've had some fabulous cards and little gifts from some of my blogging and forum buddies and I'll treasure them forever :D :D ...

I'm on FOLKSY

Permanent Linkby sammay72 on Thu Oct 08, 2009 3:03 pm

I've been very brave this week and set up my own little shop on Folksy. I've sent a few e-mails to some members of my family, including my cousin Colin as he's fairly good with the computer-rooney. I would send one to my uncle who is a computer wizz (he had his own computer business until he retired the other year) but I don't think I'm upmarket enough for him if you get what I mean. It's just trying to get it out there so I've asked them to have a look, maybe suggest other things that I could make to put on there (I may get brave enough eventually and actually make my own candles from scratch one day   ) and if they wouldn't mind putting the word out for me as well.

At Last!!!

Permanent Linkby sammay72 on Fri May 15, 2009 4:58 pm

We finally seem to be getting somewhere on the job front.
James kicked up a stink at the Job Centre today about the fact that we know a young lad (18)who still lives at home and is being put in for everything and is getting more help to get back out into the work place, and that he (James) has been given no help or advice what-so-ever in the last what 2 and a half months.
Well they are now paying for him to get a CSCS card which is basically so that he knows his Health & Safety on a building site and stuff. He's been asking about this for the last month and a half, as both a friend of ours can give James some labouring work and throw him some work for himself and our landlord (he's a builder) can also put work his way, so he has decided to go self employed as an odd job man come labourer. The problem has been that because I work, technically only part time, we still have to pay the bulk of our rent and our council tax as well as all our other bills so there isn't any spare money for...
