Busy, busy, Busy!

Permanent Linkby rugbylass on Tue Oct 13, 2009 11:45 am

Hi all

it's been so long since my last visit and you've all been so busy with Christmas cards - hopefully I'll be able to get another batch out this weekend (fingers crossed!)

I've been so busy I've not had time to think! This is now my second week in my new job and I'm really enjoying it. Had some salary issues at the last place but that's all settled now so I can relax and move on :D

Phoebe cat is now comfortable at home (still not keen on visitors though) allows me some cuddles and comes skipping down the stairs to meet me when I come home from work, couldn't ask for anything more.

College is in full swing and we have exams in December - hope I get the hang of it all!

Back soon,
hayley xx

Back at last!

Permanent Linkby rugbylass on Mon Sep 14, 2009 10:07 am

I can't believe how the time has flown since my last update and up until this weekend I had done no crafting whatsoever :o

However, with my parents being away in Cyprus and my friends being away in Rhodes I found I had this whole weekend to myself (well, apart from Phoebe the cat!) so I settled down and got creative - ooh it felt good, until Phoebe stepped into the purple glitter and tracked it all over the house! I didn't think it would be so hard to remove & it's everywhere, but Phoebe looks great with all her twinkly bits lol I'll get the pictures uploaded today.

Phoebe is settling in really well. She's been with me a week and I see her confidence growing almost every day. I had 2 cats (George & Millie) when I lived in Rhodes and always said I'd have one once I settled back...

Hi all

My massive news today is I have passed my first set of accountancy exams!! :D I'm so pleased all the hard work paid off. Just a couple of weeks and it's back to college (different nights this time) to start the next level - no rest for the wicked eh!?

crikey it's been non-stop lately, I've not had time to craft apart from a baby card!

Finally got to visit the newest member of the family so I've updated my profile picture to one of me with Finlay my new nephew - he's just gorgeous! He's three weeks old today and like all babies with Down Syndrome he's undergoing regular tests but he's passed his hearing and heart tests so far so fingers crossed. It was a massive shock to all of us but we're reading up and learning all about it so we can give him and each other the help and support needed. Big sister Amelie is just taking it all in her stride (as most 2 and a half year olds would!)...

Back with a bump!

Hi there

feels so long since I last updated with my tales of woe

it's my second day back at work after my holidays and I've got so much to do and no idea where to start.

holiday with the girls was fab as always - Cyprus is so hot at this time of year which is just what the doctor ordered! Two weeks of lazing on the beach by day and good food, company and wine by night what more could a girl ask for? Apart from another two weeks, then another .....
Actually we were very good this year and we went off to view the Paphos mosaics which were just as stunning as when I first saw them 10 years ago - but now they've excavated even more and we wasted 33 euros each on a naff boat trip but hey ho what can you do but laugh!

Our newest family member (my cousin's 2nd child) Finlay arrived on 28th (3 weeks early!) and I can't wait to start scrapbooking pictures of him with his big sister Amelie....

Hi all

well it's so busy at the moment (for a change), unfortunately there have been some staff cuts at work so I'm doing 2 jobs but at least it makes the time pass a bit quicker.

I've done a bit of crafting this weekend (see gallery) all comments greatly appreciated!

Did the Race for Life yesterday with my Mum and friend, was well pleased with myself as we cut 10 minutes off our previous time! Have changed my profile picture to show you us with our medals! it was quite an emotional day, remembering those who we have lost but also a great sense of achievement that we're helping.

This week is going to be mad as I've got various appointments, my cousins 40th party on Saturday night and then I fly off to Cyprus on Sunday ...
