20th November 2008.Thank you for your comments, its lovely to know that i have so much support from you all. I am going to attempt to go to lady Q's house today, social services told me not to be alarmed the police seemed to have made some mess with the finger print stuff everywhere. I just cant find it in my heart for her things to be touched or for me to riffle through her things, but in my heart she would have wanted me to do that. My husband is coming with me. Having a lunch meeting with other residents families tomorrow to talk about what they have tbeen through and what action they want to take, we are divided at the moment, some are saying just leave it. But thats not not me i have to carry on and fight this through til the end, hopefully i can get these families to join me, social services have asked that we dont take it to the media. I wonder why...

Re: 20th November 2008.Thinking of you too Zoe. I hope all goes well tomorrow too. I can understand those people saying not to bother as its all the upset they are frightened of. you are right though to continue as long as you are able to. I wonder why teh social services dont want you to go to the media???? makes you wonder. is it because of all teh bad press the yhave had recently over childcare?? I wonder what your lady friend would say about that.
take care rozzy xx
Re: 20th November 2008.Hi Zoe
I actually agree with Social Services at the moment that it shouldn't be taken to the media but probably not for the same reason as they have. Only because it's early days and all the evidence and legal proceedings are not complete, although it's an ongoing thing, nothing is resolved as far as the other residents families are concerned and putting it out there so to speak may alienate them and put them off continuing with the fight, a lot of people are publicity shy for whatever reason and especially old pople who don't want a fuss, alerting the media would only have the outcome that theywould chase up residents and families for interviews and at this stage it would be detrimental, if it goes to court and it surely will as far as the girls are concerned that will be reported and by then you should be farther on with more evidence and more to tell them if they come knocking, so to speak. When you have amassed the evidence and the report or whatever the police and social services are making then is the time to blow the lid off this good and proper,if the press come to you and say how many residents families are behind you at the moment you don't know, so it's better in my opinion to have asmuch info and support behind you before you go public. As always behind you 100% Zoe love Sue xxx ![]() MY BLOG QUIZ IS NOW ON MY BLOG Yes, I am crafty, but I'm proud of it !!!! http://wizzy-wonderland.blogspot.com/

Re: 20th November 2008.Hi Zoe
I think you've been wonderful. I just wanted to say I agree with Susie, and for the same reasons. The Baby P case did not have such an impact in the press until the trial was over. You don't want anything to happen that might lead to the girls' barrister saying she won't have a fair trial. When you reach the right time to go to the press you will know, and you should do what you feel is right in your heart, not what social services tell you. A word of warning, when the press do come knocking (and I see from your later blog they have already done that) I suggest you either give them a prepared statement for now or at least have someone with you so they can't make up words you are supposed to have said and twist things. You want it to be more that their word against yours. Last edited by LynneA on Wed Nov 26, 2008 2:07 pm, edited 1 time in total.
