Katy and i went to an official function today to give a talk and a demonstration. It was a national trust property and the lord and lady of the manor were in attendance. it was a great day lots of business people all looking for prestigious office space. there was a free bar - free buffet and a pig roast. and a jazz band. We were there doing the usual bit of talking to people about the organisation and katie was having a great time being the centre of attention. about 4pm we had to do our demo - well honestly it was not my fault that they chose to hold the event in the garden of this venue. everything was fine untill i had to take katie off th lead for part of the demonstration. Well katie be a lab and labs having a one track mind to there stomach as soon as i released the lead she was off . making a b line for the pig roast stand . thankfully the afternoon had been lubricated by the free bar and katies effort for a pork sandwich was met with howls of laughter. I was greatful that i had taken an assistant who was on hand to rescue the pork roast --- opps ---i mean katie and we continued the demo with her back on the lead. A lesson learned i think Aren't dogs wonderful
