Howdy! what an odd weekend - weather doesn't know what it wants to do, it's warm and sticky but really overcast and showery. Excellent crafting weather!!! I received my QVC parcel (the Forever Friends tsv) on Saturday morning and couldn't wait to get home and get started....it was over an hour by the time I had unpacked it and looked at every item in detail but i packed it all up again and took it along to my Mum's. She had also emptied hers out on to the dining room table and we both sat in contented craftiness for a couple of hours and made a variety of cards (see gallery), drank tea and ate cake - how perfect! Also, to make up for my non crafting over the past few weeks due to my studies I went home and made an exploding box for my dear friend Rosemary. I'm quite pleased with it as it's my first attempt at an exploding box and due to not having double sided card stock I had to improvise and stick sheets together. It's not too fussy (just like her!) and has her favourite pictures of her 2 grand-daugheters in along with their birth details and 2 poems...hope it makes her smile when I give it to her tomorrow. Might get a scrapbook page done later....need to make up for lost time Hope you all had a great weekend - as always project comments most appreciated!! PS I have entered my sponsor page to my profile as I'm taking part in the Cancer Research Race For Life in a couple of weeks in central Newcastle. I know times are tough but every little really does help Bye for now xxxx

Welcome back to the sticky world of crafting Hayley! Enjoy your new stash and best of luck with the Race for Life - hope the weather cools down a little for you by then!
God bless, Debbie xx Thanks for looking and your comments. http://kingdomkidskaleidoscope.blogspot.com/Housekeeping tip of the day: Always keep a few get well cards on the mantelpiece, then visitors will think you have been ill and unable to clean!

Hiya Debbie, oh it's been so lovely to be crafting again and not feel guilty about missing out on study time or anything!
I was at it again last night - while watching the tennis and before I knew it, it was 11pm and I'd been sat there since before 8, making up decoupage and some forever friends cards too! As they say, time flies when you're having fun lol
Looking forward to the Race for Life as it's always a special day for us to remember our lost loved ones as well as feeling like we're doing a little something to help. I'm doing it with my Mam as always but a friend is joining us too so should be good
speak soon, thanks for your lovely comments H xxx
