Good weekend

Permanent Linkby justaves on Sun Aug 16, 2009 3:42 pm

HI everyone - been back at work a week since the dreaded swine flu
Boy i was tired - monday I came home at 2 ( didn;t do too badly 7-2) but then I had to go to bed for a couple of hours.
Slowly increased my hours thro the week but friday I managed a normal day!!

Anyway despite being shattered I got loads of work done - ploughed throu the 287 emails which were in my inbox when I got back! Only another 3 days before I'm on hols again.

I've had a great weekend
Saturday - was one of our craft days at the local garden centre - if anyone lives local and wants to join us - pm me and I'll forward details on to you. I made 4 christmas cards and 4 cards for a friend who is having a card stall in Bicester in October to raise money for her sisters work with street boys in the Sudan.
I love these days - totally stress free and just have a great time talking to people and even doing some crafting.

Sunday - I've had a day ( well most of a day) cleaning and tidying. Even did the kitchen floor. Its...

Friday

HI everyone

Thanks for the get well soon wishes

I'm definitely on the mend - phew tho I can't mix with people until tomorrow. I've hardly been out of the house this week and I'm beginning to get cabin fever. I have to admit doing anything is exhausting me atm - I put a duvet cover on yesterday and then had to sit down for a rest ( how sad is that)

I picked up my craft stuff again yesterday - made a few christmas cards , nothing too taxing tho. I popped a picture of one of them in the gallery last night.

Hope no one else is suffering with the flu

Take care

feeling more human

Permanent Linkby justaves on Thu Aug 06, 2009 6:55 am

Just got up this morning and i'm pleased to say I'm feeling a lot more human.
I've been laid up since sunday night with a flu like illness

Of course with all the swine flu about - I had to check out whether I needed tamiflu on the hotline - I admit I logged on it was easier.
Anyway - because my temperature was over 38 and I'm asthmatic I was prescribed tamiflu - luckily a nice local friend collected it for me.

I;ve felt dreadful for the last 3 days - hurt everywhere and spent most of the days in bed- I haven't even done any crafting (which as one of my friends said - blimey you must be feeling ill!)
This morning I've woken up and I still ache and my nose is still running but I feel a lot more human.

As I'm quarantined from work until monday - i may even do some crafting later

Hope everyone else is ok

Great Day

Permanent Linkby justaves on Sat Jul 11, 2009 8:42 pm

I've had a great day today...
I did a workshop with Jayne Nestorenko.

Learnt a load of things, her tips were great and she is such a nice person.

If any of you get the chance - I'd highly recommend doing on of her workshops.

Hope every one else is having a good weekend

Catching up

Permanent Linkby justaves on Mon Jan 19, 2009 5:46 pm

Yet more time as passed and yet again I've neglected my blog.

I've been busy - and for once done a fair bit of crafting.

I've got about 20 cards for the Marie Curie Campaign. I must do a few more before the end of the month and then drop them off at the local shop so the rep can take them for me! I think thats a great idea - people will be more likely to make more cards if they don't have to pay to post them to the campaign.

i also went to a ATC swap - we used to meet in our local craft central - but we're now meeting in the local garden centre tea shop. We had a great hour or so - chatting and swapping ideas, the centre then lost power so we were in semi darkness for a while before we got cold and decided to leave. It was good to catch up with everyone.

I've already started on the ATCs for the next swap - the theme is flowers - we needed cheering up.
I bought myself a cuttlebug which is really great - I'm really enjoying using. I love the embossing ( i guess its because I don't have...
