This is me!

Well, here we are, the last post of 2008 for me! Christmas this year has not been so good. My Father-in-law has been in hospital since 15th December, but thankfully came home today so he can greet the new year in his own home. As you can imagine our christmas time has been just one hospital visit after another, juggling visiting relatives and eating xmas dinner around visiting times. The hospital staff looked at me as if I had three heads when I asked if there was any relaxation of visiting times on xmas day. I know that the patients are still sick but there's a lot to be said for a friendly visit at such a time.

I haven't been well since Saturday, with a chesty cough, but I think it's on the mend. The middle son has got something too, and eldest seems to be fighting something off. I'm hoping that the New Year will bring better health all round for us.

The best thing about Christmas though is the children, they're too young to know of the worries of parents and blissfully played with presents all day long. I reckon they have the record for the earliest risers though. I heard them going down the stairs at 1.30 on Christmas morning and there were floods of tears when I made them come back up. Am I cruel?

I'm looking forward to getting the new stock from Trimcraft in the New Year. It's hard to know which to buy because they all look fab.

Anyway, that's all from me know. I'm going to watch Jools Holland with my hubby and (sick or not) I'm going to have a drink of fizzy wine to celebrate the start of 2009. I hope that everyone here has a happy and healthy 2009. See you all next year
