Guide to blogging! Quick reminder - all blogs won't get read as often by Trimcraft staff, so if you have any questions - always post them in the forums as normal. As a general rule of thumb use the forum for chatting, and your blog to publish stuff you might want people to know First things first, let's name your blog Before you start blogging, name you're blog. Mine's called (rather boringly) 'The Official Trimcraft Blog'. To change your blogs name (the name of your blog will appear at the top of your blog page) simply go to your user control panel and click on the 'Blog' tab. Or for the lost/lazy/confused - simply click here ucp.php?i=201 Your personal preferences In the user control panel you can also do some other cool stuff - like automatically getting subscribed when someone replies to something you've already commented on. Cool 'eh! Finding your way around the Blog front page At the top of the page, you'll see a big shiney image that will give you a link to our own official blog where you can find some great stuff about the website and updates. Below this there's a little introduction to the blog site, and then a random blog entry by one of our users (this will change each time you view the page). To find the latest blog entries, just scroll down a bit more and you'll see a list of them waiting for you along with the latest comments made. Posting in your blog Couldn't be easier! Simply click on 'Add a new Blog Entry' on the left hand side of the main blog page. You can then type your new blog entry and press submit to have it added! In your message, feel free to include images, links, attachements, polls and anything else you like! The same principes apply for replying to comments, making new comments and other stuff in the blog section. It's really easy to us |
